Surprise Visit Home

Leroy and Kristen were able to make a surprise visit home to their families before Leroy's deployment to Iraq. The arrived in Waseca late Sunday night. They stayed with Linda and me Tuesday and Wednesday night. Tuesday we enjoyed homemade pizza and played a traditional game of Monopoly (Cub version of course). Wednesday is our school Christmas service. They will join us for that and then we will celebrate "Christmas Eve" Wednesday evening. They will spend Thursday in the cities and return to our place Friday evening and spend the night. Saturday morning, they will need to head back to Fort Campbell so Leroy can report back on Monday, Christmas Eve. His will be deploy sometime soon after that. We will let family and friends know when he is deployed. He will not know his military address until he is in Iraq. When Leroy arrives in Iraq he will be a mail clerk on the FOB (Forward Operating Base) near Baghdad. At least that is what the Army is currently telling him.
